About RapidSkins
We buy your skins directly. No buyers, no listings, no waiting.
RapidSkins is a direct-purchase platform founded in 2022. You sell to us — not to a stranger on a P2P marketplace. We set the price, you confirm, you get paid. It takes minutes, not days.
Why we built it, and why it works differently
Most platforms for selling CS2 skins are peer-to-peer marketplaces. You list an item, set a price, and wait — hours, days, sometimes longer — for a buyer to show up. You're not selling your skin; you're hoping someone wants it at your price. Meanwhile your money is tied up, and when a buyer does arrive, the platform takes 8–15% before you see anything.
RapidSkins works the other way around. We buy the skins directly. There's no listing, no waiting for a buyer, no auction. You load your inventory, see what we'll pay for each item right now, confirm the ones you want to sell, and accept the trade. Payment goes to your PayPal, Bitcoin wallet, or bank account, not to a Steam Wallet balance you can't withdraw. The whole thing takes minutes. The 7-day Steam hold that slows down CS2 trades is handled by our Instant Cash feature: you get paid before the hold even ends.
That distinction (direct purchase vs. P2P listing) is the reason RapidSkins exists. The platform has since processed $15M+ in skins for 200,000+ users, and the model hasn't changed.
Direct purchase, not a marketplace
The difference matters more than it sounds. Here's what selling on a P2P listing site actually involves, versus selling to RapidSkins directly.
P2P listing sites (Skinport, CSFloat, etc.)
- List your item and wait for a buyer, with no guaranteed sale
- Payout withheld until the buyer confirms receipt
- Platform takes 8–12% off the top on every sale
- No control over how long it takes: hours or days
- Funds often held in platform balance before withdrawal
RapidSkins: direct purchase
- We buy the skin from you directly, no buyer required
- Payment sent to PayPal, Bitcoin, or bank account immediately
- Price shown upfront; no percentage taken after the fact
- CS2 Instant Cash: paid before Steam's 7-day hold ends
- Rust skins: no hold at all. Trade completes, you're paid
The founder
Jack Flux
CEO & Founder, RapidSkins
Jack Flux is a software developer, entrepreneur, and fellow gamer. He started RapidSkins after hitting the wall that most skin sellers hit eventually: valuable items in a Steam inventory with no straightforward way to convert them to real money. P2P marketplaces required waiting. Steam Market paid into a wallet you couldn't withdraw. He built a direct-purchase platform instead: one that pays immediately, to a real account.
He's been active in the CS2 and Rust skin economy since before RapidSkins launched, which shapes how the platform is built. Instant Cash (the feature that pays CS2 sellers before Steam's 7-day hold ends) exists because he knew from experience how disruptive that hold is. The pricing model (no hidden platform fee, just the spread you see before you confirm) exists for the same reason.
